Samaritan's Purse is going around the world to share God's love with children in need through Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts.
Area Collection Site
Lake City has been the area's OCC Shoebox collection site for over 20 years.
Churches, groups, and individuals bring their shoeboxes every week during the collection week for us to box into cartons.
At the end of the week, helpers load those cartons into a truck and deliver those to the Wenatchee Regional Collection center to be loaded onto semi trucks bound for the California Processing Center.
Worldwide Distribution
Long before shoeboxes arrive in more than 100 countries, volunteer National Leadership Teams train pastors and community leaders who want to share the message of the Gospel and bless children. The leaders learn how to host child-friendly outreach events, and how to implement The Greatest Journey follow-up discipleship program.
“Let the children come to Me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”
Mark 10:14, ESV
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
